Among the latest acquisitions are:
  • 1791 aquatint of Angelo’s Academy at the Royal Opera House, Haymarket, by Thomas Rowlandson, signed and annotated in pencil by the fencing master and collector Arsene Vigeant.

  • Coloured stipple engraving published by Signor Francalanza, Professor of Fencing, 79 Jermyn Street, February 1809.


  • Hand-painted brevet de prevot, 1825.

  • Backswords, mezzotint engraving by Charles Turner, 1825.

  • French duelling epee inscribed Lycée Fontanes 1878 1ere Division, 1er Prix d’Escrime Ruzé Professeur.

  • Foil inscribed ANGELO'S SCHOOL OF ARMS, PRIZE, ETON 1888, etched on all sides.


  • Programme designed by Frédéric Regamey in 1895 for a fencing display at the Palais de l’Elysée.

     


  • Etching of a girl fencer inscribed To F Goulding from G.P. Jacomb Hood Dec. 1895. [A gift from the artist George Percy Jacomb Hood to Frederick Goulding, said to be the best printer of etchings in  England.]
  • Pommel in the form of a Corinthian-style helmet from a pair of French late 19th c. epees stamped SOUZY AÎNÉ.
  • Académie d’Armes certificate awarded to Felix Gravé in 1902, signed by Kirchhoffer, Prevost and Vigeant.
  • One of five stereo views of the Pini-San Malato duel in 1904 on glass plates.
  • 1930s German bronze statuette of a foilist extended on the lunge.
